Oooo...I Like 'Em Frisky

This beautiful sentiment is the reason why I struggle with modern poetry. Sure, the words and the feelings behind this poem is loving and beautiful, but isn't it just two sentences strung together with the words separated to look like a poem? If you saw these two lines in a book, you'd think, wow...that was a beautiful sentiment, but would you think poem? I'm not tryin' to bash the poet or anything, but I've heard lines like these all my life from the people I've been with, sometimes sexier and more beautiful. I guess I'll just stick to my romance novels and mysteries!

She and I

stuck in our heads; 

our souls 

must have 

gone out 

dancing 

again

I've collected so many pics over the years and the ones that I don't choose to feature on my blogs and social sites ultimately just get deleted...But why? I've decided to just bunch them all together and post them anyway. I mean, I originally liked the pic enough to save it, right? So why not share it? So this is where I'll dump all the pics I decided for whatever reason won't be featured during my regular posting sessions when I get enough of them to fill a post (if you've followed me for some time, you have to know I'm a creature of habit, right?). You Do Need To Let 'Em Breathe

Wouldn't you kiss this beauty wherever she wanted you too? I know I would! What made me giggle about this pic is that it made me think about this time when I was hangin' out with one of my girlfriends, someone who I wasn't sexually active with, just friends, and to give you a little context, she was the complete exact opposite of me at the time, a good girl, following society's rules and stuff, only three partners her entire life at that time (she's come around though to my way of life!), and I think that's why she was drawn to me as a friend, because I represented what and how she wanted to live her life and I wasn't afraid to live this way, but we're sittin' there havin' lunch and a guy with a tattoo sleeve on his right arm and he also had tats up his neck a little walked in, and she looked me straight in the face, dead serious, and said, “Yeah, he's cute, but I'd hate to taste all that ink all the time.” I nearly choked on my lemonade and probably spit most of it out all over the table!

I couldn't agree with this quote more! And it definitely holds true for men as well. I have definitely had late-night (and even mid-mornin' and mid-afternoon) rendezvous simply for the reason of enjoyin' somebody's body, but most of the people that I keep within my circle and revisit from time to time also have the ability to hold good conversations, because with the hunger I have to read, I need someone who can keep my attention after we're done or I'm goin' to go directly to my chair and pick up my book.
